INTRODUCTION

Rajasthan Association for Studies in English (RASE) was founded in September 2003 at Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University during the first UGC Refresher Course organized by the department of English. Since then it has travelled a long journey in the visionary leadership of the founder president Prof. S.N. Joshi.

Objectives:

As its Constitution mentions, the Association aims:
  • To function as the forum for English teachers to share and discuss their academic and professional problems and to voice their concerns
  • To work to develop in its members commitment to the profession, devotion to students, and the sense of responsibility towards society
  • To work to foster closer links among English teachers and also between English Teachers and Educators in general
  • To work to secure for English teacher better and greater opportunities of professional advancement
  • To work to promote professional ethics
  • To work for coordinating English studies as a continuous stream from the pre-primary to the tertiary and also the post-tertiary stage
  • To work to promote comparative studies in language and literature including studies in fold and popular literature
  • To work to encourage translation of works from Hindi and regional languages into English and also from English to Hindi

  • Organizing seminars & discussions
  • Publishing a Journal
  • Publishing souvenirs of academic events
  • Supporting publication of creative writings
  • Publishing Newsletter periodically
